Holiday Flavors 2010

Hello Everyone!! I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!! Mine was really nice. I apologize for this late post, my family and I had bronchitis for about 3 weeks prior to Christmas. That was strenuous, to say the least.
But now it's a new year, and with that there are yummy winter flavors for us all to enjoy!! But get them fast, because mid-February, there will be new flavors, and these will be gone until next year...

APPLE BUTTER It's made with fresh apples, cane sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, lemon juice and freezer pectin
It's available in 8 fl. oz. freezer packs for $5.00

Warm up the Apple Butter and it tastes just like fresh apple pie. Spread it over a roll or toast or your finger or even the spoon you scooped it out of the container with... mmm...tasty!!

RAZBERRY It's made with fresh raspberries, cane sugar and freezer pectin
It's available in 8 fl. oz. freezer packs for $5.00

Razberry Jam reminds me of sneaking into my Grandfather's garden and devouring all of the rasperries I could find until I was stuffed. Then the next day, I would do it all over again. I wonder if he ever noticed.... I mean, how could you not, bare raspberry vines and me, not hungry for a real dinner for the whole time there. It made my Mom and Grandmother wonder, I'm sure...
Anyways, everytime I taste my Razberry Jam, I am transported back to that raspberry patch and all of the precious memories long ago.

BLACK STRAWBERRY It's made with fresh strawberries, fresh blackberries, cane sugar, and freezer pectin
It's available in 8 fl. oz. freezer packs for $5.00

If there could be a flavor just a smidge more sinful than a plain strawberry this would be it. Introducing the strawberry's darker, more mysterious cousin, black strawberry. My personal favorite jam of all time.. =)

BLUEZBERRY WITH LIME It's made with fresh blueberries, fresh raspberries,
fresh lime juice, cane sugar, and freezer pectin.
It's available in 8 fl. oz. freezer packs for $5.00

I don't know if it would be good on sandwiches, but I try it on cheesecake, and it is fabulous!! Lime adds a bit of zing to the berries...mmmmm..

AVAILABLE IN LIMITED QUANTITY FOR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

POMEGRANATE JELLY It's made with pomegranate juice, cane sugar and freezer pectin
It's available in 8 fl. oz. freezer packs for $5.00

This tastes just like the jam our grandmother's would make and give away to those she loved the most!!

CRAN-APPLE BUTTER It's made with fresh apples, fresh cranberries, fresh orange juice and zest, cane sugar, brown sugar, freezer pectin, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and lemon juice
It's available in 8 fl. oz. freezer packs for $5.00

The cran-apple butter tastes similar to my original apple butter, but with the bittersweet taste of the cranberries and sweetness of the oranges. It is THE BEST in cinnamon rolls, in my personal opinion...mmm..I want some.

There you have it, all the winter jam flavors that will make you want to curl up on the couch and eat out of the container, like me... Hey, gotta spread the joy! But, get your own, cause I'm NOT sharing!! Haha!!! Enjoy everyone!!

Summer Jams 2010

OK...I know summer is kinda over-ish (hehe) but it is ALWAYS fun to have new flavors of jam to sort of make summer last a little bit longer. What I mean is, is that there are fruits that are in season that make you feel like it's a certain season.
For Example: I tried some Apple Butter last week and it just felt weird...because the leaves weren't changing and the temperature wasn't becoming bearable outside...ugh!! Apple Butter reminds me of Autumn. It's just that simple.
Peaches, Plums, Apricots, Berries, and watermelons remind me of Summer. Now, I haven't made a watermelon kind of jam because that just sounds disgusting, sorry!! But the other fruits are magnificent!! So, introducing the flavors of my late summertime jams are...

Strawberry Peach- Made with fresh strawberries, fresh peaches, cane sugar,
lemon juice, and freezer pectin
Peach- Made with fresh peaches, cane sugar, lemon juice, and freezer pectin
Mango Berry Lime-Made with fresh mangos, fresh raspberries, fresh blueberries, fresh marionberries, fresh lime juice, honey, cane sugar, and freezer pectin
Verry Berry-Made fresh raspberries, fresh blueberries, fresh marionberries,
cane sugar, and freezer pectin
Pluot (plum/apricot)- Made with fresh pluots, fresh oranges and zest,
lemon zest, cane sugar and freezer pectin

Don't they just sound so.. summer-ish!!! mmmmm...they taste so good! I know I'm a bit partial to my own jam, but yum! I have samples if you would like to try them. And then you can buy some and eat it everyday, like me... =-) Enjoy!

Fall is finally here!!!

Fall is finally here!!!.... it's time to say GOODBYE to triple digits temperatures and HELLO to soups, stews, and apple pie.

I love when the weather changes, but I think that most of the time it catches me off guard...and this is the reason why.... You finally get used to about the mid 90s and you're thinking about getting out your warmer clothes for Halloween, but haven't washed any yet... and then the next day.... BAM it's windy, cold and in the low 70s....burr!!! But then the next week (watch) it will be back up to the mid 90s again. It's very confusing... what to wear...what to wear!! I guess the best thing to wear is a t-shirt with a sweater, just in case!!! =*)

If you're like me, you're probably thinking about Christmas...ugh! presents...presents...presents... Presents mean more different to a parent than a child. Parents are thinking... how am I going to pay for all of this, still have my sanity and a little extra in my checking account in January. Children are thinking...how many presents AM I going to get this year!

Well, I can't help you with shopping for your children, but I can give you an idea for your friends and family...

For a limited time, for the holiday season, I am making 2 Holiday Flavors!!

CRAN-APPLE BUTTER is made from fresh apples, fresh cranberries, fresh oranges, cane sugar, brown sugar, freezer pectin, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and lemon juice. It's available in 8 fl. oz. freezer packs for $5.00
The cran-apple butter tastes similar to my original apple butter, but with the bittersweet taste of the cranberries and sweetness of the oranges. It compliments the taste of turkey much better than canned cranberries.

POMEGRANATE JELLY is made from pomegranate juice, cane sugar, and freezer pectin. It's available in 8 fl. oz. freezer packs for $5.00

**Thank you for listening to my ranting...no more, I promise... (fingers crossed =-x)

Peach Jam done right!!

So, for those of you who like variety in your flavors of jam, I made a new flavor! I thought that even though I have a wide variety of jams... my thoughts always came back to peach. I once tried to make peach jam, but it turned out disastrously wrong! But, persistance pays off...! Because, I finally made a recipe for Peach Jam that will knock your socks off!!! If you close your eyes and just let your taste buds take over, it's like being in a field of peach trees with no worries and no cares. It's just what your tongue needs. Not to mention all of the healthy nutients that are so vital to your body.
I make my peach jam with fresh ripe peaches, fresh squeezed lemon juice, cane sugar, and freezer pectin.

My husband had an interesting experiment for me to try.....peaches with strawberries. Sounds interesting.....tastes divine!!! I make it with fresh ripe peaches, fresh strawberries, fresh squeezed lemon juice, cane sugar, and freezer pectin. It tastes like the peach jam, but smoother, softer, if that sounds possible.

I will post pictures as soon as I can!! So you can see for yourself all the yummy goodness...

I don't know I guess you'll just have to try it!! I have FREE sample bags that contain samples of all of my jams. That way you can try them all and find out which ones are your favorite!

Chocolate Torte with Razberry Jam

This is a Chocolate Torte with Razberry Jam and Vanilla Ice Cream. It is Awesome!!! If you've never had a chocolate torte it is something that you NEED to try!! It is very rich and creamy. It melts in your mouth and makes you feel ...... sinful!! Doesn't that look sooo tasty?
I made the Chocolate Torte from a recipe that I found on the internet. Make it then just thaw out some Razberry Jam and put it in the microwave for about 15 seconds, and spoon it on... and viola, a tasty, delicous, melt in your mouth dessert....mmm...mmm!!
I'm sure that if you wanted that extra burst of flavor you could put my jam on brownies too!! =-)
